Flora Bucchianico has been an integral part of the Stride Capital team for 7 years and was recently promoted to Documentation, Funding and Audit Specialist. We sat down with her to discuss this milestone achievement, her new role, and her time at Stride.
Congratulations on your recent promotion to Documentation, Funding and Audit Specialist! What are you looking forward to about your new role?
GROWTH AND CONTRIBUTION
I’ve grown a lot in my role over the last six years, and I’m ready to contribute at an even higher level. I understand Stride’s culture, values, and clients. I want to use that experience to drive stronger results, mentor others, and help the company scale responsibility. I believe this promotion is a natural next step; I bring strong technical expertise, reliability, and a genuine commitment to doing quality work that protects the organization while supporting growth. Most importantly, I’m invested in the team’s success, not just my own, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute at a higher level.
Can you tell us about your experience leading up to your promotion, both with Stride and before?
STRONG WORK ETHIC
Over the past six years at Stride, I’ve progressed greatly, mastering the fundamentals of documentation and funding and becoming a trusted resource within the team. I’ve consistently managed high volumes of files while maintaining strong accuracy, quick turnaround times, and compliance standards. Through this work, I developed a deep understanding of deal structures, partner expectations, and risk management requirements, particularly in supporting our relationship with Servus Credit Union. Beyond day-to-day execution, I’ve taken initiative in supporting departmental success, helping balance workloads, mentoring newer team members, and contributing to process improvements that strengthen efficiency and audit readiness. Prior to joining Stride, my experience helped me build core professional strengths such as organization, accountability, client service, and attention to detail. Those early roles shaped my work ethic and ability to manage priorities effectively, which I’ve continued to build on through my career here.
What interested you in working in the financial industry initially?
CHALLENGE & OPPORTUNITY FOR PERSONAL GROWTH
Early in my career, I realized I enjoyed work that challenged me, requiring accountability and strong attention to detail, while also allowing me the opportunity to play a role in bigger outcomes. Finding new challenges and growth opportunities is key for me. The financial industry offered the perfect balance of analytical work, risk management, and meaningful impact. When I joined Stride Capital, that interest deepened. I saw firsthand how documentation, funding, and compliance directly support business growth and partner trust. Knowing that my work helps ensure deals are done accurately, responsibly, and efficiently is very motivating. Over time, what has kept me engaged is constant learning, evolving regulations, varying deal structures, and constant opportunity to improve processes. It’s an industry where precision, integrity, and continuous growth truly matter, which aligns strongly with my professional values. Shared goals fuel enthusiasm!
What do you like the most about working at Stride Capital?
TEAMWORK!
Adaptability, flexibility, and openness to learning have allowed me to stay ahead of challenges and embrace change. As a group of team players with a shared sense of purpose, we all bring unique strengths to the team. Whether we’re brainstorming solutions or supporting each other through challenges, the bond of working together creates a positive and motivational environment.
What is your life outside of work like?
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Outside of work, I really enjoy being outdoors, hiking/walking, canoeing, and camping. It helps me reset and stay grounded. I love spending time with friends and building meaningful connections, but I also appreciate having quiet time to reflect and recharge. Helping others is important to me as well, whether that’s supporting people in my circle or simply being someone others can rely on. It’s something that naturally carries into how I approach my work and relationships.
