Tell us about your previous work experience and finance education and how it led you to Stride.
I worked at TELUS for 2 years during my junior and senior years at university. I started off with TELUS Consumer as a Sales Rep and moved into TELUS B2B as an Account Manager. I recently graduated in December 2023 with a Bachelor of General Management and Finance. With my background in finance and my experience in business development and credit, Stride Capital seemed like the perfect match. When the opportunity arose, I was thrilled to join a growing team.
What are you looking forward to about your new role as Sales Coordinator for Stride?
I’m looking forward to learning more about the financing and leasing industry. Everyone has made me feel very welcomed and I’m very excited to be a part of this team.
What opportunities do you see as part of Stride and within this new role?
I see great opportunities to learn from the people at Stride Capital who have been in the finance industry for years, potentially pursue my master’s degree and other designations to expand my skill set, and access new opportunities and roles within the finance sector at Stride Capital.
Can you tell us a bit about your experience working in a team environment, managing client relationships, and doing financial analysis?
I have cultivated extensive experience in team dynamics and client relationship management during my tenure at TELUS. Nurturing and fostering connections with clients has been a particularly rewarding aspect of my role. As I transition into the finance industry, I eagerly anticipate expanding my knowledge base and integrating my passion for finance with sales expertise in the future.
What is your life like outside of work?
Outside of work, I’m all about staying active and having fun. I’ve been into a bunch of sports since I was a kid, but badminton has always been the sport I’m the most passionate about. I like to participate in summer tournaments.
On the weekends you will often find me camping with my friends and enjoying the outdoors.
